Early Education Program
There are four Early Education Programs (EEP) running concurrently at Port Phillip Specialist School, accommodating approximately 20 children. Pre-school children are eligible to attend these programs once they reach 2.8 years of age.
Two programs are located at the Port Melbourne Uniting Church Kindergarten located about 100 metres from the main school campus. The other two programs are located at the main school site. They are run on a sessional basis with 5 children per session.
The EEP students are in a group run by a special education teacher and teacher assistant. Specialists and therapy staff are part of the program in assessing, developing and informing each child's program.
In addition to their kinder program, our children are able to enjoy a water familiarisation program run for EEP children and their parent/carer by our swimming teacher.
The goals of the EEP reflect those of a kinder program, in addition to catering for the individual needs of our children.
